A new platform from a tech company lets people chat with an AI version of Jesus Christ.
Just Like Me is a tech company that builds AI versions of famous people, like celebrities and experts. They say these AI copies, called “digital twins,” are meant to offer users advice, encouragement, and companionship.
People can now pay to video chat with AI versions of famous figures, including MySpace creator Chris DeWolfe, the late political analyst Charlie Kirk, and even fictional characters like Santa Claus.
How the model was trained
The website has added a new AI personality: an avatar of Jesus Christ. This AI version of Jesus can offer prayers and encouragement, communicate in multiple languages, and remembers past interactions with users.
According to Just Like Me CEO Chris Breed, the AI model learned from the King James Bible and interpretations of scripture found in sermons. The visual appearance of the AI avatar was inspired by actor Jonathan Roumie’s performance as Jesus in the series The Chosen.
Just Like Me lets you talk to an AI avatar for $1.99 a minute. Or, for $49.99 a month, you can get 45 minutes of conversation time with the AI each month.
