Released in November 2025 and developed by toR Studio, with Polden Publishing handling distribution, Restaurats has consistently received “Very Positive” reviews on Steam – earning that rating from almost 1,500 players. The game combines quick-paced cooking action with life simulation and roguelike features, all wrapped up in a delightfully quirky and humorous world.
Okay, so get this – I’m running a medieval restaurant, but my staff? Rats! It’s totally chaotic. I’m chucking food at customers, cleaning up spills under skeletons, the works! My goal is to become a famous rat chef and show all the orcs and vampires that I serve the best, juiciest meat in town!
You can play Restaurats for free on Steam until May 25th at 10am EST. And if you enjoy it, you can buy it for 52% off until May 28th! That brings the price down to just $9.55 – a great deal compared to the usual $19.90 price.
The game Restaurats is constantly being updated with new content, so there’s always something fresh to discover – you can’t experience everything in just one weekend! This makes buying the game a good idea, but players might prefer to wait, as it’s also planned for release on PlayStation and Xbox Series X/S soon.
The latest free update introduced new costumes for the rats, updated the appearance of customers, and added helper bots for players who prefer to play alone, giving a preview of future content. The first paid expansion added farming and fishing, a shop to buy prepared food, and a scooter for making deliveries around town.
The game offers several downloadable content packs available for purchase, both individually and in bundles.
