Steam demo now available for sci-fi horror RPG Parasite Mutant

IceSitruuna has made a demo version of their game, Parasite Mutant, available on its Steam page. This demo includes a tutorial, the beginning of the game’s story, and a limited area to explore, and should take around 45 minutes to play.

Parasite Mutant is a sci-fi horror role-playing game heavily influenced by the classic Parasite Eve. It’s scheduled to launch on PlayStation 5 and PC in 2026.

Parasite Mutant is a sci-fi horror role-playing game set far in the future. Nova, a powerful psychic agent, is sent to investigate a deserted island city overrun with terrifying creatures. Little does she know, this mission will drastically alter her life.

Combat System

Parasite Mutant features a unique battle system called ATC (Active Time Chains). It blends the classic Active Time Battle style found in many RPGs from the late 90s with a three-part chain system. Players must carefully time their actions within each segment and choose when to unleash their built-up energy with a chain release.

Players need to avoid enemy attacks and strike when the timing is right as a meter fills up. We’re excited to bring a fun and satisfying experience to everyone playing the game.

Art Style

Parasite Mutant features a visually striking anime style that looks realistic, combined with up-to-date rendering for a high-definition experience. We’ve also included retro and CRT filters to recreate the nostalgic look and feel of games from the late 90s and early 2000s.

Parasite Mutant is a scary survival horror game featuring many different, terrifying creatures. Players must solve puzzles to find answers and discover the dark secrets of the game’s world.

Level Up System

In Parasite Mutant, you’ll improve your gear by adding modules and using Plus Points earned in battle. This is a standard system for upgrading equipment.

New Game+

Parasite Mutant’s New Game+ lets you carry over progress from your last game, letting you start with a boost. This mode also adds new areas to explore where you can get even stronger and tackle a final, ultimate challenge.

Outfit System

You will be able to change hairstyles, hair colors, outfits, and more.
