The highly anticipated TV series based on the book Fourth Wing has officially been approved. With the show now moving ahead, actors are starting to campaign for roles.

Genevieve O’Reilly, who plays Mon Mothma in the Star Wars series, recently discussed her future career goals in an interview with Starburst Magazine. She’s especially interested in a particular project, as her daughter is a big fan. Since no actors have been cast yet, O’Reilly hopes expressing her interest now will increase her chances of being selected for a role.

The Time Will Soon Come to Cast Fourth Wing

O’Reilly shared that his daughter is a big fan of fantasy novels, especially the Throne of Glass and Fourth Wing series. He’s hoping to be involved if those books are ever adapted into movies or TV shows.

While O’Reilly hasn’t said what kind of character she’d like to play, she’s expressed a desire to play a villain. Many fans think she’d be perfect as General Lilith Sorrengail from The Empyrean series. Lilith is initially seen as a harsh character because she pushes her daughter, Violet, to pursue a dangerous path at Basgiath War College, where the training is often deadly. However, as the story unfolds, readers learn more about Lilith’s reasons, adding layers of complexity to her character and her relationship with Violet.

The Series Gets Ordered After 3 Years

I was so excited to hear that Fourth Wing is finally becoming a series on Amazon! There were rumors about it back in 2023, but it wasn’t officially confirmed until recently. I learned at Amazon’s presentation last Monday that it’s really happening, and I’m thrilled that someone like him is involved as an executive producer. It sounds like a fantastic team is working on it, with Meredith Averill as showrunner and a lot of other talented people from Kilter Films, Outlier Society, and Premeditated Productions all on board as executive producers. And the best part? The author, Rebecca Yarros, is involved too, which gives me a lot of hope that they’ll do the story justice!

Averill, discussing the adaptation of the series, explained that it’s become one of the most popular franchises of the 21st century, boasting a remarkably dedicated fanbase. Fans aren’t just readers; they’re fully immersed in the world of the books, and Fourth Wing delivers on every level. It’s packed with intense emotions, large-scale battles, captivating power struggles, and, at its core, a lot of humor, warmth, and a truly captivating romance.
