Okay, so this is HUGE news for us gamers! Square Enix is opening actual cafes and shops in both Los Angeles and Tokyo. They’re gonna be selling food and merchandise based on all our favorite games – think Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, Dragon Quest, the works! I’m already planning my trip!
If you’re a fan of dishes from Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts – like Sea Bounty Risotto, Toadsteak Drumsticks, or Sea-Salt Ice Cream – the new Square Enix cafe and shop is the perfect place to grab a bite.
Square Enix is launching cafes in Los Angeles and Tokyo, serving food and drinks based on their famous video games. They promise a truly immersive dining experience inspired by the games’ worlds.
First permanent Square Enix cafe & shop opens in LA
Square Enix is opening its first official cafe and shop in the United States! The cafe will serve food and drinks inspired by popular Square Enix games like Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, and Dragon Quest.

The new location will offer a variety of food and merchandise. Based on their previous store in Tokyo, customers can anticipate finding items like plushies, keychains, small gifts, and clothing. The menu will also be diverse, featuring things like burgers, cocktails, beer, cake, and other treats.
This isn’t the first Square Enix store – they previously had one in Tokyo that closed in 2025. Now, they’re opening two new locations: one on 1st Street in Los Angeles (zip code 90012), and another in Paselabo Tower, Japan.
Both locations are scheduled to open in Spring 2026, meaning fans won’t have to wait long to shop for Square Enix merchandise and enjoy food inspired by Final Fantasy. It makes you wonder what a Chocobo would taste like!
