Koppepan, a solo developer from Japan, is releasing an RPG called Monetaria on PC through Steam. You can download and try out a demo version of the game right now on its Steam page.
The game will feature fast-paced, strategic battles controlled with commands. The developers at koppepan have cited several influences, including the 3D dungeon exploration of Shin Megami Tensei, the random progression choices in Slay the Spire, and the command-based gameplay of Yuji Horii’s The Hokkaido Serial Murder Case: The Okhotsk Disappearance.
You’ll find the official trailer, game details, and screenshots for Monetaria below. The game will be offered in both Japanese and English. Currently, Koppepan hasn’t announced when the full game will be released.
Everything is falling apart. The very fabric of reality is breaking down, and it all started when seven powerful demons appeared in different parts of the world.
Led by the mysterious being known as “E,” Kanechika and his team gain access to “Roles” and “Skills” – special abilities that let them see and eliminate dangerous threats. Their mission to prevent the world’s destruction takes them on a worldwide journey to reveal hidden and unsettling truths.
Explore a hidden and dangerous world by venturing through “The Web,” a challenging, ever-changing dungeon, and “The Vortex,” a realistic and immersive 3D labyrinth. You’ll need to survive both to uncover the anomalies within.
Battles happen live, in the moment! Quickly switch between four different character classes and experience fast-paced, exciting combat!
