Miki Yonta, an independent game developer from Japan, has just launched their new game, Charoite into the Deep, on Steam for PC. It’s available globally now for a budget-friendly price, and is currently 20% off for US customers, bringing the price down to $3.99 until December 10th.
In this game, you play as Charois, a girl on a quest to explore a dangerous dungeon and reach its lowest level. She’s accompanied by a golem, which has a special ability to detect hidden traps and other hazards.
As Charois explores further into the dungeon, she’ll start to remember pieces of her past and gain new abilities. The game hints at having several different endings players can achieve.

Local legend says that a girl born with purple eyes will develop magical abilities when she turns ten.

Story
It was Charois’ 10th birthday.
She found herself in an empty, dangerous basement where traps and suspicious shadows awaited her.
Charois cannot remember what happened before she came here.
The only thing she remembers is that she was told that she would reach the deepest level.
The adventure to find the “treasure” in the depths begins.

This is an action RPG in which Charois, a small witch, goes underground with her golem.
Use skills and items to get to the deepest underground safely.

Use dowsing to locate underground objects and quickly recall what’s beneath the surface, helping you steer clear of potential dangers by remembering what you’ve found.
However, traps are not the only obstacle in your search. Pay attention to the approaching shadows.

The more you explore, the more mysterious powers are enhanced.
Explore the underground more safely by making good use of the skills and items that are released.
The Piece-System can boost various stats.
It is up to you to decide which abilities you will rely on to fight.
Event Scene
Going deeper into the basement will allow you to uncover Charois’ memories.
Once she remembers everything and finally reaches the bottom of the basement, she’ll find either a valuable treasure or something terrible.
The game has multiple endings, but there are no normal, bad, or true endings.
