Red Dead Redemption 2 is a truly enormous open-world game, considered one of the greatest ever made. Its creation was a massive accomplishment for Rockstar Games, and they’re poised to potentially surpass it with the upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto VI this November. Because of its size and complexity, bringing this popular Western game to mobile devices always seemed impossible. However, it’s now actually happening!
The highly anticipated mobile version of Red Dead Redemption is now available. Originally released in 2018 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and later on Windows and Stadia, fans expected future installments to appear on more powerful systems, not on mobile devices.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Is Officially Available On Mobile Devices
Rockstar didn’t actually develop this new mobile version of the game themselves. Instead, a YouTube channel demonstrated how gamers can use specific equipment and settings to get Red Dead Redemption 2 running on mobile devices.
RGB Tech Official recently showcased a stunning mobile version of Red Dead Redemption 2. Surprisingly, it looks incredible! Achieving this required a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 4 Android device, the GameHub PC Emulator (version 5.3.5L with the newest Turnip updates), plus some extra installations, setting adjustments, and custom drivers.
If you want to try running Red Dead Redemption 2 yourself, you’ll need to own the PC version of the game. Considering the game has sold over 82 million copies – making it one of the best-selling games ever – it’s safe to say many people who are interested probably already do.
It will take significant time and effort to get Red Dead Redemption 2 running on mobile, but the payoff is impressive. For players who are still enjoying the game and its detailed world eight years later, this offers a fresh and exciting way to experience it.
If you’re hoping for more Red Dead Redemption, this is probably worth checking out, as a completely new game doesn’t seem likely anytime soon. Rockstar is currently focused on Grand Theft Auto VI, so it could be a long wait – potentially years – before Red Dead Redemption 2 comes to newer consoles, and even longer before we hear anything about Red Dead Redemption 3.
