At the Future Games Show 2026, Glass Head Dolls, an independent game studio, revealed that their retro-inspired, challenging action game, Prison of Husks, will be released on PlayStation 5 alongside its Steam version.
Prison of Husks started as a personal project in 2023, with an early demo available on itch.io. The developers then established Glass Head Dolls in 2024 to focus on the game full-time. It’s currently scheduled for release in 2026 on both Steam and PlayStation.

Dense Level Design
I’m really excited about Prison of Husks! It’s taking inspiration from the older Souls games, and the developers are building these incredibly intricate levels. They’re aiming for that feeling of getting lost in a tightly connected world with tons of shortcuts that lead you back to places you’ve already been. Basically, it’s all about exploring every little corner and finding hidden secrets – and you can tackle the challenges however you want, which is awesome!
