The Pokémon Company is offering a free bonus for Pokémon Legends: Z-A! Players can get two free Mega Stones for Mewtwo, and receiving them will start a special quest to catch this powerful Legendary Pokémon.
You can get two special items, Mewtwonite X and Mewtwonite Y, through the Mystery Gift feature. These items let Mewtwo transform into its more powerful Mega Mewtwo X or Mega Mewtwo Y forms when equipped.
To claim the Mega Stones, you must fire up your copy of Pokemon Legends: Z-A and do the following:
- Press X to open the menu
- Select Link Play
- Select Mystery Gift
- Choose Get via Internet and download the Mega Stones
- Save your game
Mewtwo isn’t usually found in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, but you can unlock the chance to catch it after getting some special Mega Stones. After finishing the main story and receiving a new Mystery Gift, head to Lysandre Cafe. This will start a new side quest that takes you to Lysandre Labs, where you’ll finally encounter Mewtwo.
Mewtwo is the second legendary Pokémon available through the Mystery Gift feature. Players can also get a free Diancite, which starts a quest to catch the rare Pokémon Diancie. Just like with Mewtwo, you need to finish the main game storyline before you can begin Diancie’s quest.
Pokemon Legends: Z-A is getting even more Mega Evolutions with its upcoming Mega Dimension DLC, releasing December 10th. A new trailer showcased Mega Lucario Z, a special form that’s the first of its kind – a ‘Z Mega Evolution.’ This new type of Mega Evolution recharges faster, but uses up its energy more quickly than regular Mega Evolutions.
