Starting a strong team in Pokémon Legends Z-A can be tough at the beginning because you have access to limited areas and weaker Pokémon. Many players are excited to get Goomy, the adorable Dragon-type with strong moves, on their team. Luckily, there’s a simple way to catch Goomy right after the game’s tutorial!
How to Get Goomy early in Pokemon Legends Z-A

In Pokémon Legends Z-A, you’ll need to finish the initial tutorial sections and unlock the ability to skip cutscenes before you can catch a Goomy early in the game. Unlocking bench time skipping is essential for finding one soon after starting.
Goomy is usually found deep in the Lumiose Sewers, a challenging area with powerful Pokémon. But, there’s a trick! If you use a bench in a certain spot near Wild Zone 1, you can find a Goomy as soon as it starts to rain.

To perform this trick, go to the Vert Sector 9 waterway and destroy the stones to enter. Inside, you’ll find a water canal with a small bridge, and a courtyard with benches above.
If it’s raining, you’ll be able to find a Goomy level 30 or higher on the bridge. If it’s not raining, sit on the benches overlooking the canal to change the time of day until it starts to rain.

When it starts raining, go to the bridge below to find a Goomy. There’s a chance it might be an Alpha, which can be tough to beat if you’re not a high level, so approach with caution!

Catching a Goomy with this method will really help players tackle tough battles in the later parts of the game, such as those involving Mega Evolution. Goomy is a solid choice for building a powerful team in Pokemon Legends Z-A because it doesn’t have many weaknesses and resists a lot of different attack types.
