How to Equip Mega Stones & Use Them in Battle
You must Equip a Mega Stone to a Pokemon before battle by:
- Select the ‘Box’ option on the right-hand side of the Main Menu
- Go into the Held Items menu and select the Mega Stone you want to use
- Equip it to the appropriate Pokémon
Mega Stones only work with specific Pokémon – an Audinite is for Audino, not Charizard, for example. Since Charizard can Mega Evolve into two different forms, you’ll need both of its Mega Stones to achieve both transformations.
During a battle, to trigger a Pokémon’s evolution with a Mega Stone, choose “Fight” and then press “R”. If you activate it accidentally, simply press “R” again to stop the evolution from happening that turn.
Once a Pokémon Mega Evolves during a battle, it stays that way even if you switch it out. However, you can only Mega Evolve one Pokémon per battle, so think carefully about which one to choose.
That covers everything about Mega Stones and Mega Evolution in Pokémon Champions. We hope this guide was helpful and wish you good luck as you explore this feature!
