Paul McCartney‘s loyalty to Lorne Michaels is likely why he won’t participate in a Netflix roast. He recently surprised audiences by closing out the 51st season of Saturday Night Live with an encore performance. After Will Ferrell finished thanking the numerous guest stars from the episode – including Aziz Ansari, Molly Shannon, and Chad Smith from the Red Hot Chili Peppers – he brought McCartney back onstage for a performance of “Coming Up” from his album McCartney II.
Later in the show, Paul McCartney had a chance to be funny. He participated in a sketch featuring silly mechanics who swindle Mikey Day. The sketch involved a somewhat crude prank where McCartney, Will Ferrell, and Marcello Hernández playfully poked Day in the rear. The mechanics jokingly refused to accept gas or cash, but would accept payment ‘in ass’.
