Well, folks, it’s with a bit of sadness that I have to report some news about a couple we grew to love on Love on the Spectrum. Pari Kim and Tina Zhu Xi Caruso, who connected on season three, have decided to go their separate ways after a year together. Tina shared the news on Instagram, explaining it was a mutual decision and they’re now just friends. She used a really beautiful analogy, comparing their dynamic to Glinda and Elphaba from Wicked, saying they’ll continue to champion causes they believe in, just in their own ways. Pari echoed that sentiment, cleverly using a train metaphor to explain that while their paths diverge, they’ll still support each other. It’s clear they both want to continue shining as individuals while still maintaining a friendly connection, and honestly, it’s a really mature and heartwarming way to handle things. They both seem determined to keep advocating for things like public transportation and disability rights, and I, for one, am glad to see them prioritizing that.
I was so touched by Pari’s message on Instagram Stories. She explained that no matter what’s being said, she spoke honestly and with kindness about everything. She really hopes everyone will be understanding and compassionate, and she shared that she feels good knowing both she and Tina are receiving so much support. It sounds like she was worried about how fans would react, but she’s relieved it’s been mostly positive. She ended on such a hopeful note, saying that even though one part of her life is changing, she and Tina can still build something beautiful through their friendship. It was a really beautiful and heartfelt message.
The stars of Love on the Spectrum have become a close-knit group, supporting each other through the ups and downs of dating as young adults. Recently, Abbey Romeo and David Isaacman shared that they’ve broken up after five years together. And during the fourth season, Connor Tomlinson and Georgie Harris also ended their relationship.
