
Taylor Sheridan’s popular show is finishing up, but there will be one more season. Following the end of Season 4 in December, Jeremy Renner will be back to play his role as a key figure in the small town of Kingstown, Michigan.
Paramount+ has confirmed that Mayor of Kingstown will return for a fifth season, which will be its last. This final season will have eight episodes, which is shorter than previous seasons. The fourth season, starring Jeremy Renner and Edie Falco, premiered in October 2025. While the full cast for Season 5 hasn’t been announced, Renner and Falco are expected to reprise their roles, along with other familiar faces. Currently, there’s no confirmed release date for the fifth season.
The drama Mayor of Kingstown stars Jeremy Renner, Michael Falco, Lennie James, Laura Benanti, Hugh Dillon, Taylor Handley, Tobi Bamtefa, Derek Webster, Hamish Allan-Headley, and Nishi Munshi. Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon, who created the series, also executive produce it, along with showrunner Dave Erickson. Here’s what to expect in Season 4:
During the fourth season, Mike’s authority in Kingstown is challenged by newcomers vying for control after the Russians’ departure. This forces him to deal with a growing gang war and prevent it from overwhelming the town. At the same time, with his loved ones facing increased danger, Mike must navigate a difficult relationship with the new prison warden while also confronting issues from his past.
