Honestly, everyone on this show is with the wrong person! I have a much better idea of who should be with whom. Jol and Louisa would be great together, and Irene and Phil are clearly meant to be. When Alexandra arrives, she and James should hit it off. June should marry Hannah – she needs a bigger storyline anyway! Frances deserves someone like Bill from True Blood, and Soames needs some time alone to reflect. As for Emily, she and her dog should just enjoy their happy ending.

The strip club owned by the show’s creator has a tagline that’s shockingly fitting for this season: “Fully nude, always lewd.” Almost all the female characters – with the exception of Lexi, who wasn’t in this week’s episode – have ended up involved in sex work, either directly or by controlling others who are. While previous seasons of the show used sex and nudity to explore the complexities of figuring out one’s sexuality, that nuance is missing now. The show presents women as either being exploited or being the exploiters. While important stories about sex work can be told, this show isn’t telling them. From the beginning, Euphoria has shown a troubling undercurrent of misogyny, evident in reports about how nudity was handled during filming and in the experiences of characters like Cassie.

Ashley took some of the women to her favorite beach, but Alicia was completely out of her element. Used to the comfort of her country club, she was scared and overwhelmed, even whispering that this wasn’t for her as she struggled to carry her chair, bag, and snacks. The snacks turned out to be something called “pizza chips” – basically just bread with tomato sauce. Alicia, who owns a pizza restaurant, started explaining the science of why cheese doesn’t do well in the sun, but honestly, the pizza chips themselves were enough to get my attention.

In “All the Dogs’ Names,” Greg is adjusting to life after his breakup with Cristle. The breakup is surprisingly comical – Cristle initiates it, expecting a fight from Greg, and is then upset when he doesn’t resist, even though she’d have turned him down regardless. During the breakup, Cristle casually mentions a difficult past event – Tommy’s dad leaving for his math teacher. It’s a bit sad to consider how Greg’s relationship with Tommy’s mom might be stirring up those old feelings for him. Poor Tommy is really struggling in this episode, and it’s concerning. He attends Greg’s seminar wearing sunglasses, claiming he only sees “a snake between two Gatorade trees” when he looks at his professor. That’s a disturbing image, Tommy, and a pretty harsh assessment of Greg!

After the huge success of Evil Dead Rise and the promising start of The Mummy, director Lee Cronin is in high demand. The latest Halloween movie, Halloween Ends, didn’t live up to expectations. While previous films suggested a satisfying conclusion to the long-running series, this one shifted focus to a new character instead of delivering the final battle between Michael Myers and Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis). Despite currently ranking at number 8 on Netflix, the film hasn’t gained a better reception over time, and remains a letdown for fans of the 48-year-old franchise.
