A brand-new amiibo is on its way, and it may just be the best fans have seen.
Nintendo of America just announced a new amiibo figure for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on Twitter. The Mineru’s Construct amiibo will be released on September 17th and is one of a limited number of highly detailed, poseable amiibo figures available.
The Mineru’s Construct amiibo Is Everything Fans Wanted
The new Mineru’s Construct amiibo is a detailed figure based on the popular Crafter Construct from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Like the Guardian amiibo from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (released in 2017), this amiibo has movable arms, letting you pose it in many different ways.
So, tapping amiibo in the past got you a ton of cool Ancient items, but the new Mineru’s Construct amiibo is different. Instead of items, it’ll give you a brand new design for Link’s glider! It might not be a game-changer in terms of power-ups, but I have a feeling fans are gonna love customizing their glider when this thing drops in September.
For those eager to explore the world of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom even further, a new art book is coming out in October. Created by Dark Horse Comics with Nintendo, it will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the game’s development, featuring over 470 pages of sketches, designs, concept art, storyboards, and more.
According to Dark Horse Comics senior editor Patrick Thorpe, this book offers a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, spanning the history of the Zonai people to the events following the Demon King’s return, and delves into the detailed lore that brings Hyrule to life. Thorpe calls it a must-read for any fan of The Legend of Zelda series, highlighting the book’s artwork and insightful content.
Exciting news for fans! The release date for the highly anticipated live-action Legend of Zelda film has been moved forward to April 30, 2027 – a week earlier than previously announced. The filmmakers shared that they’re working hard to finish the movie and appreciate everyone’s patience, as the release is now less than a year away.
The Mineru’s Construct amiibo is slated to go on sale on September 17.
