Tom King says casting for Mister Miracle series is underway
A famous comic book writer recently talked about who might be cast in the upcoming DCU series, Mister Miracle, during a podcast interview.
Tom King recently shared on ComicPop Returns that casting for the project is underway. He explained he’s excited to reveal the cast and other details soon, and as an executive producer, he’s currently managing a large number of roles, including finding and directing voice actors. He anticipates a lot of work ahead.
Okay, so this new series is bringing in Darkseid, a huge villain from the DC universe. But here’s the catch: it’s not officially part of the new DCU James Gunn is building. That’s interesting because it is the first time we’ll see Darkseid realized under Gunn’s vision, even if it’s separate from the main storyline. We have seen a live-action version of Darkseid before, of course, in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, but this feels different – a new take on the character, just not connected to the big picture right now.
The new series focuses on Scott Free, also known as Mister Miracle, who is famous for being the world’s best escape artist. But his peaceful life with his wife, Big Barda, is suddenly thrown into turmoil.
The story reveals that a war is ongoing between Scott’s home world, Apocalypse, and New Genesis. During this conflict, Scott’s adoptive father, the villain Darkseid, has seemingly obtained the Anti-Life Equation – a powerful weapon that would allow him to control the entire universe.
