Netflix is back with another animated fantasy adventure in Swapped, and critics are quite split.
Directed by Nathan Greno, who co-directed Tangled, and based on a story by John Whittington (Sonic the Hedgehog 3) and Christian Magalhaes and Robert Snow (both known for DuckTales), the movie follows Ollie and Ivy. They come from species that are naturally rivals – mammals and birds – but discover magical pods that switch their bodies. Michael B. Jordan and Juno Temple lead a talented voice cast that also includes Cedric the Entertainer, Tracy Morgan, and Justina Machado.
Early reviews are in for the animated fantasy adventure, Swapped, which releases in theaters and begins streaming on May 1st. Based on 10 reviews, the film currently has a 60% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, suggesting audiences are sharply divided in their opinions.
