Yuzo Koshiro, the composer for the classic 2005 strategy RPG Namco X Capcom, has announced that the game’s opening and ending themes will be available on digital streaming services starting April 11th. The opening theme is called “Subarashiki Shin Sekai” (Wonderful New World), and the ending theme is “Itsuka Kitto, Tsuki no Shita de” (Some day surely, Under the Moon(light)).
Yuzo Koshiro composed both songs and flair performed them. He also mentioned that these new digital releases will be based on the original master recordings, offering improved audio quality compared to the soundtrack CD released in late August 2005.
Just a reminder, Namco X Capcom was only available on the PlayStation 2 in Japan. It also paved the way for later crossover RPGs such as Super Robot Wars OG Saga: Endless Frontier and Project X Zone.
Here are Yuzo Koshiro’s original tweets, with our English translations following them.
今回、幸いにもマスター音源(48kHz/24bit)が見つかり、CDサントラよりもさらに音質の良いバージョンをお届けできることになりました。ぜひお楽しみください!
