Digital Dreams announced that *Mutant Football League 2* will be fully released on PC and consoles on December 10th. The game, which blends the action of *NFL Blitz* with the horror of *Evil Dead*, has been available on PC in early access for a year and launched on Xbox Series X|S via Game Preview in February 2025. It’s a sequel to the 2017 cult hit *Mutant Football League*, and the franchise originally began in the 1990s, created by Michael Mendheim.
Mutant Football League 2 is a brutal and hilarious take on football, similar to the Madden series, but with a key difference: players can be tackled so hard they literally explode! This arcade-style game features over-the-top violence as teams of monstrous creatures – Orcs, mutants, skeletons, and robots – battle it out. Expect plenty of chaos thanks to dangerous traps and hazards like buzzsaws and giant worms in every arena.
If you’re tired of the usual football games like Madden, this might be for you. You’ll coach a team of new players, working your way up through a single-player season, a deep franchise mode called Dynasty Supreme, and online multiplayer matches.
The new version of the game lets you choose from 36 international teams, customize your players with power-ups called Skillroids – which are perfectly legal in the game! – and even design your own stadium, complete with traps to hinder opponents.
