Talk about making a live-action version of a well-known anime is heating up, now that MrBeast has said he’d like to help fund it. This comes as Netflix’s successful live-action One Piece series is proving that adapting popular anime can work well.
After One Piece’s success, MrBeast offers to fund Naruto’s live-action remake
MrBeast has said he’d like to help fund a live-action Naruto series. He posted on X (formerly Twitter) asking for one to be made, offering his financial support. This isn’t a new interest for him – he’s worked with VIZ Media before on Naruto-related merchandise.
These comments follow the ongoing popularity of One Piece on Netflix. The show, which first came out in 2023, continues to attract a large international audience. The second season launched on March 10, 2026, and quickly became a hit, earning 16.8 million views in just four days. It was the most-watched show worldwide for the week of March 9th to 15th.
A third season is already on the way! Titled One Piece: Into the Grand Line, it follows Monkey D. Luffy (played by Iñaki Godoy) as his adventure continues into increasingly perilous waters, with bigger challenges and new foes along the way.
Unlike many popular series that have gotten live-action adaptations, Naruto hasn’t had one yet. Created by Masashi Kishimoto, the original manga ran for fifteen years, from 1999 to 2014, and tells the story of Naruto Uzumaki, a young ninja determined to prove himself and become the village leader, known as Hokage. The story continued with a lengthy anime series from Studio Pierrot, as well as numerous movies and related shows.
At present, there has been no official confirmation of a live-action Naruto project.
