Both Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault’s publisher, 11 Bit Studios, and its developer, Digital Sun, have announced a delay. The early access launch will now happen on November 19th, instead of October 23rd.
We’ve decided to postpone the release to prevent launching during a busy period with many other games. In addition to this news, we’re starting closed playtests on both Steam and the Microsoft Store. We’ll share more information about how to participate soon.
I’m so excited to share that Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault is officially in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam)! Even better, it’s launching into Steam Early Access and Xbox Game Preview on November 19th, and it’ll be available with PC Game Pass. I got a chance to see some gameplay at Summer Game Fest, and Adam’s hands-on impressions are really promising!

Here’s a quick update about the launch of Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault in Early Access.
We originally planned to launch on October 23rd, but the month has become very busy with lots of other exciting releases. As any good business owner understands, even something truly special can get lost if there’s too much going on at once. It’s like a valuable jewel getting overlooked in a crowded display.
With that in mind, we’ve decided to move our release to November 19.
We know it’s disappointing to hear that we need a little more time, but we have a small surprise for you! We’re planning to run Closed Playtests on Steam and through the Microsoft Store. This will give you a chance to try out some of the improvements we’ve made to the game, based on your valuable feedback. We’ll share more details about this very soon!
We really appreciate you being patient and understanding. Think of this as a bit more time to get ready – to hone your skills, gather supplies, and prepare for the exciting challenges coming up.
