Capcom announced more information about the free “Royal Monsters” update coming to Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection this summer.
Capcom announced that after finishing the game, players can replay the final battle at a higher difficulty. Beating this harder version unlocks Royal Monsters, making almost all monsters in the game appear as tougher versions across all regions. This includes Royal Monster versions of Invasive Monsters and Elder Dragons, so players should get their monsters, tactics, and equipment ready for even more challenging fights!
A new free update is coming that will introduce tougher versions of monsters called Royal Monsters. According to producer Ryozo Tsujimoto, players level 90 and above will need to be well-prepared and use their best monsters and tactics to defeat them. Capcom is also making good progress on the Rudy DLC and might release it sooner than originally planned.
Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (through Steam), and Nintendo Switch. Final Weapon gave the game a score of 4 out of 5. The standard version costs $69.99, while the Deluxe Edition and Premium Deluxe Edition are priced at $89.99 and $99.99, respectively. The Deluxe Edition includes the full game, a Deluxe Kit, and access to the future side story, Rudy’s Tale.
