With several major game releases like Resident Evil Requiem, Marathon, Pokémon Pokopia, and Slay the Spire 2 all vying for attention, it’s easy for some titles to get overlooked. However, Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is successfully standing out, and Capcom is building excitement with a new trailer and a developer walkthrough.
The update introduces several new monsters, like Ibushi and Narwa from Monster Hunter Rise, Malzeno from Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, and Ajaraka from Monster Hunter Wilds. But the biggest surprise is seeing Lao-Shan Lung, a legendary Elder Dragon, frozen in crystal. Could this massive beast really be returning to cause trouble?
The new walkthrough features lead game designer Daisuke Wakahara, who explains everything about the game – including the story, world, and how battles work. The game brings back the classic rock-paper-scissors battle system, but adds a new element called the Wyvernsoul Gauge. Filling this gauge staggers enemies, and completely emptying it lets you perform a powerful Syncho Rush attack for huge damage.
If you’re interested in learning about things like restoring natural habitats, this is definitely worth checking out. Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection comes out on March 13th, and you can try it out now with a free trial on Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
