Maya Higa, a popular Twitch streamer, was overcome with emotion when Jacksepticeye, a well-known YouTuber, made a generous $100,000 donation to her animal rescue and rehabilitation group.
I was so excited to see Jacksepticeye pop up on Maya’s Twitch stream on May 19th, 2026! She gave him an awesome tour of Alveus, and he even got to meet some of the incredible animals that live there – it was a really special meet-and-greet.
During the live-streamed visit, which attracted almost 3,500 viewers, McLoughlin interacted with several of the animal residents, including holding Georgie the African bullfrog, hugging Stompy the emu, and feeding Kasi, their newest Serval ambassador.
However, that wasn’t the most talked-about part of their livestream. About two hours in, McLoughlin announced he’d been planning to make a donation during his visit.
We’re thrilled that Kasi, our newest serval rescue, let Jack feed him today! He’s the first person to be able to get this close to him – what a special moment!

Jacksepticeye donates $100K during Alveus visit
More specifically, he wanted to donate $100K, an amount that left Maya visibly stunned.
“You’re joking,” she replied. “Are you serious?”
The YouTuber said they’ve always admired the work being done and wanted to contribute. They were really impressed to see it firsthand and thought what the team was doing was amazing.
I couldn’t believe it when Maya said, “Are you serious? That’s insane! You didn’t tell me this!” Apparently, McLoughlin confirmed it was a complete surprise – I mean, totally out of the blue!
UMMMM
JACKSEPTICEYE JUST DONATED $100,000 TO THE SANCTUARY???? OH MY GOD

The YouTuber shared that his work with charities, including his yearly ‘Thankmas’ holiday stream, motivated him. ‘Thankmas’ has raised an impressive $26 million over the past seven years.
Maya burst into tears and embraced McLoughlin, as the online chat filled with joyful reactions.
Alveus recently received another large donation from a popular streamer. Back in May, Twitch personality Emiru bought a staff painting for $30,000 at a charity auction, which surprised Maya just as much as it did everyone else.
Alveus has recently experienced some significant achievements, including Maya delivering a TED Talk about the organization. She also made history as the first Twitch streamer to appear on the TED main stage.
