I’m so excited for Bradley Cooper! I heard he might be following in Lady Gaga’s footsteps with a performance residency – maybe in Vegas or Monte Carlo. But the biggest news? He’s in talks to star in a prequel to *Ocean’s Eleven* alongside Margot Robbie! Apparently, Lee Isaac Chung, the director of *Minari* and *Twisters*, is going to be directing. It sounds like it’s going to be amazing!
If this news seems a bit strange, it’s because a prequel to *Ocean’s* starring Margot Robbie was first announced in 2022 with *Austin Powers* director Jay Roach involved. Later, in 2023, it was revealed that Ryan Gosling, Robbie’s co-star in *Barbie*, would be her leading man. At the time, the movie was said to take place in Monte Carlo around 1962, during the era of the original *Ocean’s Eleven* with the Rat Pack, but we haven’t heard any new information about the project since.
The new *Ocean’s* movie doesn’t even have a title yet, which is causing some confusion. The previous films – *Ocean’s Eleven, Twelve, Thirteen,* and *8* – followed a specific numbering pattern. With *Ocean’s Fourteen* already in the works as a continuation of the George Clooney and Brad Pitt films, it’s unclear how a prequel will be named. Will it be *Ocean’s 10*, *Ocean’s 1.0*, *Ocean’s Zero*, or maybe just *Ocean* without the “s”? We likely won’t have a definitive answer until director Jay Roach finishes promoting his upcoming comedy, *Is This Thing On?*, this December. We’re hoping Gigi Hadid can find out some information in the meantime.
