Flashlight Games and Death Kumiai have launched a playable demo of their game, Annihilated, on Steam for a limited time. The demo is currently expected to be available throughout the February 2026 Steam Next Fest, which ends on March 2nd. The companies haven’t announced exactly how long the demo will be available.
I’m so excited about this demo! It lets you play through the beginning parts of each of the four main characters’ stories. And the best part? Death Kumiai is saying that if you make progress in the demo, you’ll be able to carry that over to the full game when it comes out! That’s awesome.
I just saw the official announcement from Flashlight Games and Death Kumiai! They said Annihilated will finally be fully released on PC through Steam in Early Summer 2026 – I’m so excited!

Developer Death Kumiai and publisher Flashlight Games have released a demo for Annihilated, a dark RPG with a unique twist: you can only save one character. The demo lets you experience the prologue, known as the “First Layer,” for each of the game’s four main characters. Plus, your progress in the demo will carry over when the full game launches!
