Many viewers may not know that in the Off Campus storyline, Allie joins Hannah at a costume party. Hannah is pretending to date the hockey team captain as a way to try and get her crush, Justin Kohl, to notice her.
The main plot takes a backseat when Allie arrives at the party in a famous Versace dress J-Lo wore to the 2000 Grammys. This catches the eye of Dean Di-Laurentis, a popular athlete, and they end up sharing a passionate dance to J-Lo’s music.
The video immediately became popular online, and people couldn’t stop talking about the stunning dress, lively dancing, and the connection between the performers. Interestingly, Jennifer Lopez was among those captivated by it.

Jennifer Lopez shared a clip from the show on X, excitedly writing, “love this shooooww” and reposting fans’ positive reactions. She also highlighted that her song, “On the Floor,” was featured in the episode, adding, “ON THE FLOOR … as heard in OFF CAMPUS.” The song has since surpassed a billion streams on Spotify.

The dress was difficult for actress Mika Abdalla to wear, and she mentioned in an interview that it was completely custom-made.
She explained that the outfit required five separate fittings, which was a lot of work. She laughed, saying she was taped in tightly, but ultimately felt great and enjoyed dancing all night.
Luckily, Jennifer Lopez loved the dress and the entire Amazon Prime show, giving it her seal of approval.
