Spoilers ahead for those who haven’t read the Heated Rivalry books.
Don’t worry too much, but exciting news might be coming! There’s a possible seventh book in the Game Changers series, and it could be a new Heated Rivalry story! It’s listed on the Barnes & Noble website with a release date of September 19, 2026. Although there hasn’t been an official announcement – the pre-order page doesn’t have cover art yet – we have a glimpse of the plot. The description reveals that Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander are finally open about their relationship. After years of keeping their love a secret, they’re now married and playing on the same hockey team. However, their happily ever after might be threatened by a new challenge: some troublesome podcasters.
While author Rachel Reid hasn’t officially announced a new book, she’s hinted that she may revisit the characters Ilya and Shane, saying they’ve stayed with her since writing them. Given the popularity of the Heated Rivalry show, additional content could also be used for future seasons. Reid will be appearing at an event in Nova Scotia next week, where she might address the rumors.
