Colombian influencer Yeferson Cossio, who has more than 60 million followers, has been banned by Avianca airline. This came after a strange and unpleasant prank he pulled caused a flight to be canceled, and the airline threatened to sue him.
According to reports, on March 11th, a passenger named Cossio released a foul-smelling substance on a flight from Bogotá to Madrid. This caused significant disruption and discomfort for other passengers, and the airline had to take action when the plane landed.
The Airline Strikes Back
Avianca cancelled Cossio’s return flight right away. The airline explained that using a device to release a strong odor was like setting off a stink bomb in a confined space, and could create serious problems with safety procedures if a real emergency ever occurred.
According to the airline, the plane’s cabin is a sealed and pressurized space with recycled air. They strongly condemned the dangerous behavior of the individual who created the video and stated they will take legal action.
“It was just an accident”
After the ban, Cossio posted a video on YouTube saying the situation was being exaggerated. He acknowledged bringing the device onto the plane, but maintained he had no plans to use it during the flight.
Look, I’m a prankster, that’s what I do! I messed up, okay? The bag just…popped, and honestly, people are blowing this way out of proportion. It wasn’t a big deal, it just happened.
Okay, so I just saw that Linus Tech Tips got a private jet – and it cost five million dollars! Seriously! And get this, the sinks in the bathroom are gold. It’s wild to see what some influencers are up to these days!
