During the January 2026 InaDai program, Level-5 CEO Akihiro Hino announced that a sequel to Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road is currently being developed. This was one of the biggest announcements from the stream.
Hino recently began writing the story for the next installment in the series. He noted that this will be the first Inazuma Eleven story created during the Reiwa era (starting in 2019), as the groundwork for this sequel began with the Inazuma Eleven Ares game, which was initially developed as early as 2016.
The stream revealed details about a big update coming on January 28th, called the Ares Basara Seed DLC. This update will add the story from the Ares arc and allow all characters to reach their Basara forms. Because the Inazuma Eleven Ares story was only adapted into an anime previously, this marks the first time it will appear in a video game within the series.
You can watch a recording of the InaDai stream right here. The announcement for the Ares Basara Seed DLC starts at 5:41, and a teaser for the sequel begins at 7:06.
