Hytale Getting “Larger, More Bespoke” Updates, But Not Right Away

Okay, so Hytale is finally here! It’s been a crazy 10 years of development, and at one point it almost didn’t happen. It’s in early access right now, which means it’s not fully finished yet – expect some bugs and weird stuff as the developers, Hypixel, keep updating and improving it. They’ve just given us a peek at what they’re working on next, both for the short-term and what they have planned further down the line.

In the initial months after acquiring Hytale from Riot in November 2025, the Hypixel team will be releasing updates rapidly to fix the most pressing issues. They’ve been working hard to get Hytale launched since the purchase eight weeks ago, but haven’t had time to address every bug or problem yet.

Hypixel announced plans to create significant updates and new features for Hytale, including official minigames. Development on these minigames will start soon, and they’ll introduce new gameplay elements and features to the game.

Hypixel also mentioned they’ve been experimenting with social features for Hytale, like letting players chat with each other when they’re nearby and creating friend lists.

A future update to Hytale will introduce Adventure Mode, featuring a compelling story, improved character progression, challenging dungeons with boss battles, and other exciting content.

Hypixel explained that their plans for Hytale aren’t set in stone. They’re waiting to get feedback from players as they begin to experience the game, and will adjust their development based on what people think.

I finally got my hands on Hytale! You can download it directly through the Hytale Launcher, and honestly, it seems like a lot of other people are jumping in too – the game’s already blowing up on Twitch with tons of viewers. It’s looking like a really good start!
