At the recent Nintendo Direct presentation, it was officially announced that the game Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment will hit shelves on November 6, 2025.
In addition to what we already knew about the game, here are some fresh insights: Firstly, similar to Tears of the Kingdom, players will have the ability to utilize Zonai Devices for combat purposes. Secondly, the game can be played cooperatively by two players on one screen, though it’s important to note that it won’t be released on the original Nintendo Switch. However, through the GameShare function, you can engage in online co-op play with someone who owns the first console.
The latest teaser revealed more about the game’s Sync Strike abilities, similar to what we saw earlier. This involves two characters joining forces for a powerful assault. Moreover, it hinted that Sonia and an unidentified Korok will be playable characters within the game. There seems to be an element of sky combat as well, evidenced by one character flying a device while battling a Frost Gleeok. Zelda may ride a Zonai device for battle, though details about this were scarce in the trailer.
Age of Calamity, which was not part of the main story due to certain narrative alterations, it remains unclear whether this new spin-off, Age of Imprisonment, will adhere strictly to the established timeline or make changes similar to its predecessor.
