Neurable and HyperX are collaborating to create a gaming headset that aims to enhance your gameplay. This headset uses groundbreaking neurotechnology to potentially boost your focus and precision in competitive games. Importantly, the technology is non-invasive, meaning it works without requiring any implants or modifications.
Neurable and HyperX report that their new headset, currently in development, helped esports players react up to 38 milliseconds faster, improve their accuracy by 3%, and hit more targets during training. The headset works by monitoring brainwaves to measure things like mental effort and stress levels.
These AI-powered earpads track your brain activity, but they won’t automatically make you better at games. You’ll need to review the information from your sessions and practice to actually improve your focus and performance.
The headset is still in the very beginning stages of development, so it won’t be available for purchase anytime soon. This was just one of many exciting announcements at this week’s Consumer Electronics Showcase, which also included new lightweight XR glasses with a 240Hz refresh rate, advanced gaming controllers, and even early ideas for AI anime assistants powered by technology similar to Alexa, all from Razer.
