EJAE, Rei Ami, and Audrey Nuna-the vocal talents behind the girl group Huntr/x, featured in KPop Demon Hunters-recently made their first live appearance on Saturday Night Live. Well, it mostly happened within a sketch in Bad Bunny’s imagination, but it still counts! The sketch showed four friends at brunch, discussing adult issues (including being on the Epstein List due to a flight layover on his island). However, Thomas (Bad Bunny) could only talk about the most-watched movie on Netflix. “In KPop Demon Hunters, songs aren’t just music. They’re actually weapons,” he explained. “What else is going to protect you from demons, seriously?” This bit of backstory proved useful when Jinu (Bowen Yang) tried to steal Sarah Sherman’s soul with the song “Soda Pop.” Luckily, Huntr/x arrived to save the day with the chorus of “Golden.” If you’d like to see the band perform the full song, you’ll need to tune in to The Tonight Show on Tuesday.
