Jake Paul, who started as a YouTuber and became a boxer, is preparing for his most important fight yet against Anthony Joshua, a former heavyweight champion. However, the massive amount of money at stake is arguably the biggest story.
Paul and Joshua will face off in a highly anticipated boxing match this Friday night. The event, which is being broadcast on Netflix and held in Miami, is expected to be incredibly lucrative for both fighters.
Jake Paul most recently won a unanimous decision over 10 rounds against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., bringing his professional boxing record to 12 wins and 1 loss. His only defeat so far was a close split decision against Tommy Fury in 2023. Now, facing Anthony Joshua will be a significantly tougher challenge.
Initially, it was reported that the fighters would each receive $92 million from a total prize of $184 million. However, Paul later hinted on social media that the fight could generate up to $267 million, but this claim hasn’t been verified.
Stop asking me. $267 Million.

So, how much is Anthony Joshua getting paid?

Reports suggest Joshua could earn around £70 million (approximately $94 million USD) from this fight. This would be one of his most lucrative fights to date, even though he’s facing an opponent who isn’t a typical heavyweight boxer.
Joshua has faced several injuries throughout 2025, but this fight is a chance for him to get back in the ring and prepare for a more active 2026. If he performs well and avoids further injury, he’s scheduled to fight again in February, with a possible high-profile match against Tyson Fury in the summer.

The highly anticipated fight between British boxers is predicted to generate a massive amount of money. Eddie Hearn, the promoter, recently stated that Joshua could earn close to $100 million for a fight with Fury. He also confirmed that Joshua’s fight against Paul is already one of his most profitable events.
The boxing match between Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua is happening on Friday, December 19th, at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida. You can watch it live on Netflix.
