HoYoverse revealed that the next update for Honkai: Star Rail, Version 4.2, will arrive later this month. The update will celebrate the game’s anniversary and include new characters and other exciting content.
As you might expect from the version number, this new update continues the story from Version 4.1 released in March. This time, the focus will be on what’s happening with Phantasmoon Games, and you’ll be working to uncover some major answers.
Okay, so this update is bringing two new five-star characters, which is awesome! The first one is Silver Wolf Lv.999, and HoYoverse is calling her the ‘universe’s most hardcore gamer’ – seriously! She’s an Imaginary type, following the Path of Elation, and her whole thing is this ‘Godmode Player’ ability that’s going to totally change up how battles play out.
Meet Evanescia, a powerful 5-star Physical fighter who follows the Path of Elation. As she fights, she builds up a special buff that creates energy. When her energy is full, she unlocks a devastating new attack.
As usual with HoYoverse events, this update will include character reruns. In the first half, you’ll have a chance to get The Dahlia, Castorice, and Firefly again. Then, in the second half, Tribbie, Sunday, and Feixiao will be returning.
The third anniversary of Honkai: Star Rail will feature exciting events and improvements to the game. These include a significant update to Currency Wars and the release of Version 2.0 for the Cosmicon Collective.
The latest news about the Honkai: Star Rail update arrives as HoYoverse continues to grow its collection of gacha RPGs. The studio is also planning to release new games like Honkai: Nexus Anima and Petit Planet, which will introduce different gameplay styles to their lineup.
