In an unusual twist, the creators of Hollow Knight: Silksong have placed a bench within the game that’s unique from others and has become notorious for leading numerous players towards peril.
Although the game Hollow Knight: Silksong boasts a lively, comical visual style, it’s fair to note that this game isn’t particularly enjoyable. In fact, hidden beneath its attractive appearance, this 2D Metroidvania game developed by Team Cherry is notoriously challenging, even for seasoned players.
Making just one small error, perhaps a poorly timed evasive maneuver or response, could potentially cost you your life. This is why finding a bench following a harsh battle can feel like discovering an oasis in the midst of a barren desert.
In the game Silksong, benches function as safe spots or checkpoints. At these locations, you can restore your health, resurrect after death, and take a moment to relax before continuing your journey. However, it’s important to note that not all benches are reliable.
In Silksong, benches serve as checkpoints where you can heal up, respawn, and take a breather before proceeding further in the game. Keep in mind though, not every bench can be fully trusted.
Be careful of this bench in Hollow Knight: Silksong
After the launch of Silksong, numerous players have fallen prey to a seemingly innocuous bench hidden within Hunter’s March. This unassuming piece of furniture, when sat upon, triggers an instant spike trap that can be lethal if your health is critically low.
As if the game wasn’t challenging enough already, Team Cherry introduces another cunning tactic to make things even tougher. On the one side, it can be disheartening to feel like you’ve reached such a far point only to perish and have to start anew.
Simultaneously, this unique bench has elicited some of the funniest responses from online players.
In numerous instances captured on video, unsuspecting explorers often believed they had stumbled upon a sign of salvation… but instead, it turned out to be a perilous trap designed to bring them down.
How to disarm the trap in Hunter’s March
Fortunately, you can comfortably rest on the bench, but remember to disengage the trap before doing so to avoid any potential harm to your wellbeing.
To accomplish this, make your way to the left side of the seat. Afterward, angle your tool (needle) toward the mechanism (lever) to disengage the trap. Once you’ve done that, you’ll find relaxation and tranquility as you take a seat on the bench.
If you’re finding Silksong tough to handle, it might be helpful to know that there are lots of mods available to give you a helping hand. On the flip side, if you’re up for an extra challenge, you can try enabling a harder difficulty using this secret code instead.
