There’s a good chance we’ll be getting another Bad Guys movie! A recent report suggests a third film is currently being made. With the first two movies doing so well, it seems the popular animated series will continue, and excitement is building for The Bad Guys 3.

Rumors are swirling about a possible third movie in The Bad Guys series. A well-known source in Hollywood has indicated that Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation are currently working on The Bad Guys 3.

A source claiming to be in the know, MyTimeToShineHello, posted on X (formerly Twitter) that a third ‘Bad Guys’ movie is being developed by Universal and Dreamworks. So far, though, the studios haven’t officially confirmed this news.

While not officially announced, the ending of The Bad Guys 2 suggests there will be a third movie. The scene after the credits clearly sets up the possibility of another story.

Professor Marmalade, who everyone thought died at the end of the movie, surprisingly survives when his gold limousine is lifted into space by futuristic technology. The car then turns into a spaceship and speeds away at the speed of light. Marmalade declares he’s “going home,” revealing that he’s actually an alien.

This story twist is reminiscent of the “Bad Guys” book series by Aaron Blabey. In those books, the character Marmalade is surprisingly revealed to be a prince from another planet. He eventually comes back with an alien army and tries to take over the world. This discovery suggests that the next movie could be very different, potentially moving the series into science fiction.

Pierre Perifel, a co-director of The Bad Guys 2 alongside JP Sans, previously told Variety that whether or not they make a third film depends on how well audiences receive the second one. He also mentioned they have plenty of ideas for a sequel, as the world they’ve created offers a lot of possibilities, and they’ve already started brainstorming what a third movie could be about.
