During the “Beyond the Strand” event celebrating Kojima Productions’ 10th anniversary this week, Hideo Kojima shared several updates, including one surprising reveal.
Hideo Kojima is teaming up with Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group to release a new credit card. Starting in the latter half of 2026, MUFG will offer a card where purchases earn points redeemable for exclusive Kojima merchandise and other goods.
Kojima and the bank have finished discussing the credit card issue. We’ll share more information as soon as it’s available.
Oh yeah, a kojima productions credit card, of course. Makes sense. What.

This gaming card will likely only be sold in Japan. However, if you’re in the US and want a gaming credit card, there are still choices. Both Microsoft and Sony offer cards – the Xbox card and the PlayStation card – and each one comes with rewards tailored to their respective gaming systems.
At the Beyond the Strand event, Kojima Productions shared fresh looks at their upcoming games, OD (published by Xbox) and Physint (published by Sony). Hideo Kojima also revealed a collaboration with Niantic, the studio behind Pokemon Go, to develop a brand new game experience.
