I never thought I’d see the day, but someone actually managed to get the original Half-Life running on a 2007 Nokia phone! And it’s not just running – you can even use a mouse and keyboard with it. It’s seriously impressive!
People really love seeing classic video games adapted to run on unexpected devices – everything from powerful computers to everyday appliances. It takes considerable skill to pull this off, and it’s a remarkable achievement for both the person creating the port and the device running it.
Someone has successfully gotten the classic game Half-Life 1 running on an old Nokia phone! It even supports Bluetooth, a mouse, and a keyboard, and surprisingly, it runs at a smooth 30 frames per second.
Half-Life 1 can officially run on a Nokia N95
Okay, so this is seriously cool! A programmer named Dante D. Leoncini just shared that he got Half-Life 1 – the original from 1998 – running on a Nokia N95! It’s wild to think that a game from that era can actually work on a phone from 2007, but he did it, and honestly, it feels like a surprisingly good upgrade for revisiting that classic adventure!
As a huge Half-Life fan, I’m so excited to share that I’ve finally gotten Half-Life 1 running at a solid 30 FPS on my Nokia N95! It’s not perfect – there’s still a little slowdown here and there – but I’ve figured out what’s causing it and I’m already working on a solution. And the best part? I’ve even added mouse and keyboard support! There are still a few bugs to squash, but it’s really starting to come together. #HalfLife #nokia #symbian #valve #steam

The developer announced they’ve gotten Half-Life 1 running at 30 frames per second on the Nokia N95. While there are still a few known issues to address, they’ve now added mouse and keyboard controls, and a video demonstrates the setup.
The video demonstrates the game being played using the phone’s basic controls and a mouse. The sound quality is clear, and as expected for a phone from 2007.
Dante has been finding creative ways to play Half-Life, recently demonstrating it working on older phones like the Nokia N8 and E7. He’s made the game available for others to download and try on their own classic Nokia devices.
Great news for Half-Life fans! The game now works on even more Symbian phones. Version 24 includes performance boosts and support for older Nokia models without powerful graphics chips (it will run very slowly on those) as well as newer Symbian^3 devices like the Nokia N8 and E7. Download it today! #HalfLife #Symbian

Fans are going wild over this creation, praising the developer as incredibly dedicated. Many have expressed their gratitude, calling it amazing to see such a famous and influential first-person shooter game running on an old Symbian phone – a beloved device from a bygone era of mobile technology.
Additionally, the programmer successfully got Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 running on a phone, demonstrating that almost anything can be adapted to run on unusual devices – much like how ChatGPT can even run the game Doom.
