Rockstar just keeps breaking hearts around the world, as has been delayed again to November 2026.
Grand Theft Auto 6 Has Been Pushed To November 2026
If you were hoping to play Grand Theft Auto 6 this summer, you’ll need to wait until the holidays. Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games have announced the game will now be released on November 19, 2026. Rockstar Games shared the full details on their Twitter (now X) account.
The delay is reportedly due to the developers wanting to refine the game and deliver the best experience for players. Though fans will likely be disappointed, it’s good to see the team prioritizing a smooth launch, particularly for a highly anticipated game like GTA 6. More developers should consider doing the same.
GTA 6’s Delay Could Spell Problems For Developers
Everyone is incredibly excited for GTA 6, and because of that, many game developers have been hesitant to release their own games around the same time. Several companies purposely planned to launch their titles outside of the expected GTA 6 release timeframe, and they were relieved when the game’s launch was delayed.
With the official delay of GTA 6 to November, game developers can now confidently announce release dates for their 2026 games without worrying about competing with it. Because GTA 6 is launching late in the year, many months are now open for other game releases.
The biggest problem is that GTA 6 is likely to overshadow all other games during the crucial holiday shopping season in 2026. This assumes the game isn’t delayed again, which, at this point, seems quite possible. Fans should probably prepare for another release date push before Grand Theft Auto 6 finally comes out.
