While no one sheds tears for villains, fans are already grieving the end of trailer content for the upcoming movie, *Wicked*. The final trailer for *Wicked: For Good* has been released, and many are feeling sad that there won’t be any more previews. It marks the end of an era of enjoying the trailers’ little details, jokes, and especially Cynthia Erivo’s powerful vocals.
The latest trailer actually highlights Ariana Grande’s character, Glinda, much more than Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba. It opens with Glinda arriving in her iconic bubble and shows scenes of her wedding to Fiyero. We also see her arguing with Elphaba – emphasizing her public image – and then engaging in a magical duel. The trailer concludes with Glinda suggesting a potential alliance to Elphaba, whispering, “Think of what we could do, together.”
The film doesn’t neglect the character of Elphaba, and the trailer includes a snippet of Cynthia Erivo singing the powerful song “No Good Deed.” While we don’t yet know how she’ll sing the name “Fiyero,” some things are best experienced in the theater. The trailer also hints at extra scenes between Elphaba and Glinda, including a touching moment where Elphaba asks Glinda to see her “not with your eyes… with theirs,” which fans who hope for a romance between the two will love. We also see the Tin Man transform, and get a glimpse of the Cowardly Lion facing the Wizard, along with a flash of Dorothy’s dress, leaving us wondering if we’ll see more of her story. *Wicked: For Good* arrives in theaters in vibrant color on November 21.
