Forza Horizon 6 wipes credits from players who used exploit to get rich

So, I found out yesterday that this awesome money glitch in Forza Horizon 6 – where you could drive a Hummer EV into this specific spot and basically get unlimited credits, like almost a billion! – has been patched. Turns out the developers put an end to it on June 15th. It was fun while it lasted!

Okay, so there was this crazy glitch with the Hummer vehicle! Basically, if you could get it into a really messed-up condition before starting a battle royale match in The Eliminator, you could make an insane amount of money – like, max out your account super fast. It was wild!

This glitch was particularly troublesome because it was incredibly easy to do – it didn’t take any skill, cost players anything, and consistently worked. As you might expect, the developers at Playground Games were aware of it and had some opinions on the matter.

“No motherlode for Forza Horizon 6” – Playground Games, probably

The developer has confirmed, via the official Forza Support FAQ, that all accounts caught using this method had their credits reduced, up to a maximum of 10 million.

So, the team said the problem was totally their fault, which is good to know, and they’re not going to ask us to do anything about it. They really appreciate us being patient while they work on keeping the game’s economy healthy. Right now, they’ve taken Eliminator matchmaking offline while they fix things up, but hopefully it’ll be back soon!

The recent update on June 15th not only resolved a security issue but also secretly fixed a frustrating problem for long-time players. Leveling up in Horizon Play, especially between levels 26 and 100, had become incredibly difficult. Some players estimated it would take around 1,000 hours to reach level 100 and unlock the “Maxed Out” Achievement.

Playground stated this wasn’t the intended outcome, and players already at level 32 after the update were immediately advanced to level 100, earning the Achievement without any further effort.

Drag tires were made less effective because they were performing too well on regular roads and corners – much better than intended. The developers at Playground Games adjusted them so they’re no longer the best choice for general driving, and they plan to remove leaderboard times that were achieved using the overpowered versions.

It’s also worth noting that Playground Games has previously taken strong action against those who break their rules – they even threatened to ban players from all future games after the game leaked early last month.
