Tampa International Airport has announced a new rule prohibiting passengers from wearing pajamas. This follows a previous ban on Crocs shoes.
Okay, so let’s be real – getting on a plane is usually kinda weird and uncomfortable, especially when you’re hyped for a vacation or a big trip. It’s just not the most relaxing start to an adventure, you know?
Because of this, many people are choosing comfort over traditional clothing, swapping suits and jeans for pajamas.
Tampa International Airport is asking travelers to avoid wearing pajamas or Crocs, so if you’re flying through or connecting there, it’s best to choose different footwear and attire.

Tampa airport urges flyers to stop wearing pajamas
Tampa International Airport jokingly announced on social media that they’re tired of seeing passengers wearing pajamas, suggesting a ban on the comfy travel attire.
The airport explained that it previously prohibited crocodile-skin items. This rule was put in place after the TSA allowed passengers to keep their shoes on during security checks, and the airport believes the ban worked well.
We understand this choice might upset someone you care about, and it’s time to talk to them, even though it will be a tough conversation. We’re confident you can handle it. This ends here, and positive change begins now, they said with a playful tone.

This announcement follows a recent request from the US Transportation Department for airports to enforce stricter clothing rules. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy specifically criticized the practice of passengers wearing pajamas.
He suggested that even simply improving one’s clothing – like wearing jeans and a nice shirt – could positively influence behavior. He made this comment back in November.
Tampa airport’s stated “ban” on inappropriate attire is probably more of a request than a strict rule – they’re simply asking travelers to dress respectfully.
It’s pretty normal for brands – whether they sell food or products like Dude Wipes – to be funny on social media, so you probably won’t get in trouble for wearing pajamas to the airport.
