Ethan Hawke jokingly expressed some possessiveness over certain kissing locations, specifically in Central Park. He famously shared a kiss with Gwyneth Paltrow, his co-star in the movie Great Expectations, in that park. When he learned Paltrow also kissed Timothée Chalamet in Central Park for her new film, Marty Supreme, he had to ask about it. During an interview with Vanity Fair, Hawke playfully questioned Paltrow about whether the kiss with Chalamet was actually filmed in the same spot as theirs, seemingly claiming it as a special place for him and Paltrow.
The Academy Award winner admitted the story was true, prompting Hawke to jokingly ask if the other person had been kissed in the same location as him. Paltrow quickly assured him that wasn’t the case, emphatically stating she would never do something like that and wouldn’t want to ruin their special kissing spot. Hopefully, Hawke isn’t overly sentimental about ping pong balls.
