Hey everyone, just letting you know that the latest update for EA SPORTS FC 26 – version 1.4.2 – is out now on PC, PlayStation 4 & 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Nintendo Switch and the new Switch 2 versions will get it soon, so hang tight!

Gameplay

Made the following updates:

  • Hey, so I noticed something weird in the game – sometimes the goalie would predict where the ball was going too well and make an unbelievably accurate save. It looked a little unrealistic, so the developers tweaked it. They’ve fixed it so the goalie’s anticipation saves feel more natural now, and aren’t quite so perfect all the time.

  • Inaccurate knuckle ball shots could have occurred more often than intended.

Career Mode

Made the following changes:

  • We’ve added a new setting called ‘Contract Extension’ in the Transfer & Scouting section. This lets you control how willing players are to sign new contracts.

  • We’ve added a new Social Media panel that shows you what you need to do to complete challenges while they’re happening.

Addressed the following issues:

  • After requesting a transfer, players could not have always been offered new contacts.

  • In Live Start Points, women’s teams were unintentionally present in some leagues.

Clubs

  • Goalkeepers were sometimes holding the ball for longer than intended when a pass was requested.

  • Once emptied, short-term stamina could have previously only been recovered if players became idle.

General, Audio, and Visual
