Doja Cat apologizes after Twitch mods ban PlaqueBoyMax for gifting subs

Doja Cat has apologized to Twitch streamer PlaqueBoyMax after her channel moderators mistakenly banned him, even though he had recently gifted subscriptions to the channel.

In recent years, many celebrities have started using Twitch. Some appear on other people’s streams as guests, while others have created their own channels to play games and connect with fans regularly.

Doja Cat is one of the many celebrities who enjoy livestreaming, often playing games like Fortnite, Marvel Rivals, and Overwatch on Twitch.

Doja Cat has faced some issues with moderation on her Twitch channel, but it’s not always her doing. Recently, her moderators banned a user named PlaqueBoyMax, and Doja Cat wasn’t responsible for that decision.

Doja Cat’s Twitch mods ban PlaqueBoyMax

PlaqueBoyMax was watching Doja’s stream on April 27th and gifted ten subscriptions to her channel. He was then banned, which he found shocking. He reacted by angrily asking Doja to have her moderators stop bothering him.

Doja Cat didn’t initially comment on the issue, but she later apologized to the Twitch streamer in a post on X.

She explained she was removing some of her moderators because they had banned a user named plaquboymax without her consent, and she didn’t believe he had done anything to deserve it.

I’m removing some moderators because I disagree with the ban of plaquboymax. It wasn’t my decision, and I don’t think it was justified since he hadn’t done anything wrong.

Even though PlaqueBoyMax invited Doja to play Fortnite after she apologized, she didn’t reply to his invitation.

The singer also made sure to thank Kai Cenat for the subscriptions he gifted, while she was also updating her Twitch moderators.

I saw some fans were really confused and even a little upset that the mods banned the streamer from Doja’s channel. Some people even offered to help moderate themselves, which was cool to see!

Someone commented that they’ve noticed a lot of people being unfairly banned. Another person agreed, saying the bans seem excessive and like those in charge are misusing their authority.

Some people thought a simple warning for the moderators would be enough to prevent it from happening again. One person downplayed the situation, saying, “It’s not a huge deal, they’re acting like you did something awful.”
