Square Enix released a new trailer for Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy featuring the character Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII.
Maaya Sakamoto provides the voice for Lightning, and a new trailer highlights gameplay and cutscenes featuring her. If you haven’t already, you can now pre-register for Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy on the App Store (iOS) and Google Play (Android). Scott White participated in the game’s Closed Beta Test last year and noted that while fans hoping for a traditional Dissidia experience might be disappointed, the wait for a classic fighter continues. You can find more information on the official website.
The Lightning character preview can be found below alongside more details via Square Enix.
Okay, so I’m a huge fan of Final Fantasy XIII, and honestly, the backstory of this character just gets me. She’s a former soldier who basically gave up her identity to protect her family, and then she just…hits like a bolt of lightning! Seriously, she’s incredibly determined and doesn’t back down from anything. It’s such a powerful introduction to her!
